Liza Siegler wears a number of hats at progressive philanthropies that begin with the letter “T.” She joined the staff of Tides Foundation in 2002, where she has served as Foundation Manager to a partner foundation, Threshold Foundation, since 2004. Threshold Foundation has two integrally linked programs: an annual grantmaking program that funds social justice organizations, and a community network of 250+ individual philanthropists, who share a commitment to social change and an interest in their own emotional, psychological and spiritual development. Through peer support, education and training, Threshold members engage together in an open inquiry about how best to be of service to the people and movements they support.
Since joining the board of Third Wave Foundation in 2006, Liza has been honored to be part of Third Wave, and in connection with other members of the Third Wave community expand her own understanding of what it looks like – in making real the world we want to live in – for philanthropy and feminism to transform.
