feminsim was here, the list

We’ve been sending your stickers as quick as you’ve been asking for them, and now we want to know, where are you going to put them to show your support for young feminists? What are some places in your community that feminism should be? We came up with the following quick list of some spots that could use some feminist action:

1. classrooms
2. police precincts
3. clinics
4. campaign offices/posters
5. billboards
6. construction sites
7. museums/art
8. public statues
9. mega chain stores
10. banks

What places would you add to the list? Share with us by requesting some of our “Feminism was Here” stickers and sending us a picture of where you put feminism in your community!

Nov 13-14, 2010 / State RootsCamps

Monday, October 25th, 2010

Saturday, November 13th – Sunday, November 14th, 2010
Nationwide

This year marks the 5th annual RootsCamp “unconference” where organizers set the agenda, share lessons learned and drive the conversation about best practices in organizing. RootsCamps aren’t top-down, panel-led conferences. They are “unconferences” led by the people who attend — like you — who want to talk about organizing and running campaigns in a whole new way. It’s a place to share the stories, successes and lessons of our organizing from a truly local perspective. You’ll hear directly from the field staff, data managers, and new media gurus, as well as the campaign managers and consultants, so that we can all replicate our successes and avoid repeating the failures in our next campaigns.
