In 1996, our founders Catherine Gund, Dawn Martin, Amy Richards, and Rebecca Walker created the Third Wave Foundation to build the next wave of the feminist movement. They knew that moving money into the hands of young women was the best way to ensure our future and the power and potential of our movement.
Since then, we have created a huge network of supporters, friends, foundation partners and grantee partners. We too have grown to a diverse board of 14 and staff of 6.
